I am a professional software engineer with a good academic record and considerable experience in a variety of application areas. For the past 15 years I have been working on all stages of the development life-cycle in research related projects, computer industry projects, cultural heritage software development projects and eCommerce.
Currently I am employed at Fraunhofer as a senior solution architect. I went to Fraunhofer to work as chief engineer on the German Digital Library project.
Surprisingly, this 8 mio. € project was finished in time, and was received as a pretty well run engineering project.
This colorful shot was taken inside the Kanzleramt in Berlin when my collegues, Sven Becker, Marion Borowski, and myself, presented the Cortex system which underlies the German Digital Library, to our customer, the German Federal Government.
However, as this project is over it is now up to the politicans to decide how to go on.
